We would like to let you know some of our up and coming events over the next few weeks.

Good Friday 3rd April annual Sponsored Walk at 11.00. This year we are donating half of the proceeds to Crumlin Children’s Hospital so please ask your friends and families to support this worthy cause. Refreshments on return. Come along, bring your dogs for the walk and have some fun.

Cards are attached.

Radio DJ Workshop. Please check out the details on our face book page. An 8 week workshop learning everything about presenting a radio show and writing a jingle and then recording a show at TCRFM.We were going to start this course in March but due to only a few people signing up we will have to reschedule the starting date until after the Easter holidays Saturday 25th April 2.00 – 4.00pm for 8 weeks, cost €10 per week. We need a few more people to get involved as this is a great interesting workshop.

Easter 3 day Electric/Acoustic Orchestra workshop. Monday.30th, Tuesday 31st March and Wednesday 1st April. This is for musicians, members and non members of the klub. You will need to play a musical instrument or sing. Musicians will need a good knowledge of playing the instrument they are learning. The age will be 12 years and over, although if we do have younger members who are competent players they will  be considered.

This is a pilot workshop and the orchestra will continue on a fortnightly basis of full rehearsals on a Sunday evening. Sunday is the only suitable day, as we need to set up a large amount of equipment in the hall and rehearse without any interruptions. It is not suitable to do this week days when lessons are running.

The cost of the workshop for 3 days 10.00am to 3.00pm is €20. This course has been subsidised by a grant, which is why we can keep the cost low. You will need to bring a packed lunch.

We want to get this big band working and ready for performances later in the year. It is hoped that we will have at least 30 musicians and singers, so drummers, percussionists, guitarists, keyboard and piano players, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, flute, saxophone, violin and any brass any instruments come along and join up. It’s going to be great fun.

We are asking for any help with fundraising ideas, sponsorship and donations to raise €30,000 matching funds for the new building project.

The club has opened 2 accounts for donations in the name of Klub Muzik

Tramore Credit Union No. 12567-9

Bank of Ireland, Tramore No. 96559895 sort code 90-47-04

Or donations can be given direct to the club.

We are asking the residents of Tramore if they could donate €2 per household to this project. The population of Tramore is 10,000 and this would raise €20,000 for the club.

We are calling to all the local businesses with a letter plus a copy of a DVD outlining the plans of the new building . Any donations you can give to the club will be gratefully appreciated.

The facility is open for everyone in Tramore and will be a huge benefit to children in the future. We provide low cost music lessons and subsidised in some cases.

No child will be turned away from the club.

When the new building is completed we will have a Recording Studio, Soundproof band rehearsal room, soundproof drum room, extended hall for small performances and an extra teaching room.

If you have an old musical instrument that you no longer use please consider donating to the club for our loan scheme, helping children who do not have their own instrument.

Thanking you for your help.

Kay & David
